Edo Mazzoni obtained his Flute Diploma when he was 18 years old at the Conservatorio G. Nicolini in Piacenza. His professor was Emilio Galante. Edo participated in Master Class (in 1995 one of these courses was held by Guiot), in other courses and musical contests. In 1994 he was classified 3rd place in Genoa and 2nd place in Milan in 1996.
He studied composition with the professor Carlo Landini, band orchestration in Bologna with the professor Giacobini, band directing with the professor Hans Obkircher, choir teaching and directing methods with the professor Mario Pigazzini. Edo was a member of the Polifonico Farmesiano choir of Piacenza.
He has graduated at the Liceo Artistico (Beni Culturali section).
He collaborates with numerous chamber orchestras and bands, performing intense concerts in Italy and abroad.
He teaches music in the primary schools of Ivaccari (PC) "Casa del fanciullo", of Vigolo Marchese (Piacenza) and Ponte dellOlio (Piacenza), as well as teaching theory-solfeggio and saxophone at the music school in Ponte dellOlio. Together with the professor Enrico Rimondi, he directs the Corpo Bandistico Pontolliese Giubbe Rosse.
He conducts the parochial mixed Choir "Schola Cantorum" of Podenzano (PC)
He is presently attending a Saxophone course in the Conservatorio in Piacenza with M° Scarlatti and Jazz Music course with M° Zanchi.
From september 2003 he became delegate of AERCO, the emiliano-romagnola Choirs.
He has been directing the Gerberto choir since 1998 and intends to continue in this path which has enabled the choir to reach a satisfactory artistic level in just a few years.
